The plan of our technology team was “Smart Bricks without the Need for Baking” using waste wire process residues and nanoparticles. The team members include Mr. Mehran Moradian, Reza Ghasemzadeh, Mehrdad Salari, and Abdollah Zalaghi. In this project, these bricks do not require baking; consequently, they do not emit CO2 into the environment, being considered part of eco-friendly construction materials.

Due to the use of waste, we also contribute to the environment, and for every one ton of aluminum oxide produced, more than two tons of red mud are generated, used for construction purposes. Our bricks have a special design interlocked with each other like puzzles, reducing mortar consumption for wall construction by up to 100%.

These bricks do not produce rubble during earthquakes and they can simultaneously be used as façades. i.e., if walls are built using these bricks, there is no need for additional finishing or façades.

The structure of these bricks is designed to serve as thermal and acoustic insulation. The smart brick is designed without the need for cutting or creating holes inside for ductwork and piping for water or electrical channels. Its most up-to-date and significant feature is the real-time measurement of temperature and humidity inside and outside the building. It prevents energy consumption and waste by providing real-time reports through a mobile phone or a monitor connected to the sensors embedded in the brick.
